Done Deal: Good News For Chelsea As They Finally Sign £35m Italian defender

Chelsea have reportedly agreed a €35 million (£30.6m) deal to sign Juventus full-back Daniele Rugani. Maurizio Sarri is expected to be appointed as Chelsea head coach, and the west London club have been targeting players despite the uncertainty over their managerial situation.
According to reports from SportItalia, the Blues have reached an agreement with Juventus to pay €32m plus €3m in bonuses for Rugani, who will be Sarri’s first signing at Stamford Bridge.
The 23-year-old is considered as a rotational option by Massimiliano Allegri having participated in 22 matches in Serie A last term and only 110 minutes in the Champions League. SportItalia reported that the transfer is close to being finalised and Serie A side will allow the Italy international to join Stamford Bridge.
Maurizio Sarri has already worked with Italian centre-back for two seasons at Empoli as the defender was signed on a co-ownership deal with Italian champions. Earlier this week, SportItalia claimed that Rugani had already agreed a contract with Premier League giants. But the move will be on hold until Chelsea officially announce Sarri as their new manager to replace Antonio Conte.
